A temporary forum!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I was going nuts without the forums, so here's a temporary measure until they get fixed!

As it is we already have 2 more people lurking, most likely setting up their accounts, lol.

So tell us almighty Jim, you and I both know the very first question will be regarding the contest....what up with the contest jim?

We recorded last night and were supposed to pick a winner... and didn't.

Jason has not gotten a chance to read all the entries yet and Dan and I are having a hard time choosing. It will be announced on the next episode we record, and may be posted here before that. Also the next time we record will have details on the next contest, and also an awesome revelation about this contest which I think some people will appreciate!

So what WILL be on the upcoming episode?

GLC, GL, BN, 2 voicemails (including 1 of yours), 2 emails and I think some news or something. It's a really jam packed episode.

What about the valentines day episode?

I'm happy to hear that its jam packed. (btw I'm asking all of these direct questions as a kind of interview type style so ppl can read stuff when they DO show up)

So Jim, What can we look forward to in future episodes? Me personally, I have been listening to the archive episodes. You two mention alot of ideas regarding episodes youd like to do. When do you think you'll get to stuff NON Blackest Night/Brightest Day related?

Good call. I think we're starting to catch up really. We got JSA 3 and the Flash mini, and maybe an issue here or there, but after that Blackest Night is done. And as for Brightest Day, I figure we'll probably cover it all at first but then kinda skip the stuff that doesn't really matter. After that we are so going to jump into older stuff, Elseworlds is a biggie, Mosaic, character spotlight episodes, we have enough to keep us busy for a really long time.

The goal is yes you will hear other entries, but that's going to depend mainly on scheduling. And yeah, no forums was driving me out of my mind. I never realized just how obsessed I was with them.

Not enough time to get into Larfleez but yeah, there's plenty of debate going on in the episode coming out Monday. Like a LOT. Beyond what I even expected really.

Not at all. I love what your thread became. I just wanted another thread dedicated to just the collections so it will be easier to go through in the future. Imagine trying to judge a contest where you have 1 entry for every 2 pages of replies? That would be insane.

Would love to. We have contacts, just no time to make anything happen, especially with Super Show around the corner. We don't care so much about certain interviews though, it's gotta be a really cool one to be worth it for us. Nei Ruffino for example, that's one I would LOVE to do. She is amazing when it comes to color, and could there be a book where color is more important? lol

So Jim, do you honestly see the Lanterncast ending in the near (or semi-near) future? One BN/BD fades away and DC burns the fans out on 3 GL books a month? Even if GL keeps going strong, you're married now, that lady of yours would want kids, or whatever your new responsibilites include as a husband...

I think the key is that we do it for as long as it's fun. As Dan told me one time, it shouldn't feel like work. Some episodes, maybe, here and there. Like the crap tie-ins. But overall, you gotta enjoy it. I can see myself keeping at this for a long while, I love Green Lantern and it's probably the one thing I can talk about and enjoy for a long time. Even after kids, it's a nice fair trade for Lauren to watch the kids while I record so she can have a free night herself during the week. Stuff like that will help it to continue.
