I hear you on the whole Facebook thing--honestly, I just rarely go on anymore. I think I will just purge the people that annoy me or I don't really want to talk to.
I saw The Avengers--the first ten minutes or so with the SHIELD stuff kinda dragged, but once we got into the other heroes, it started to pick up.
I doubt we'll see anything extensive with Banner in Iron Man 3, since they talked about wanting something more like the first movie where he was cut off from the rest of the world and had to make due with his own mind and whatever he could find, but a call-out that he's working at Stark Industries would be cool.
That second credits scene was hilarious--it just seems so counter-intuitive to what you would expect from a Whedon movie.
I also like the first Hulk movie--it was just so different from the regular action/superhero movies.
Batman & Robin...I think the cast could have worked (Arnold could have did Freeze well if he was acting more like The Terminator than something like Commando), but the direction didn't work.
"Batman's motivation is revenge." I completely disagree--his motivation is solving crimes and saving lives.
Yeah, Captain America is my favorite of the current Marvel Studios movies. Also, I believe that vague montage was there so that they could add in more WWII content for the sequel.
Coulson...fucking Whedon, you just know it was his idea.
I don't think The Vision is likely. If they bring him back, I think it's going to be more something like this:
Yeah, that guy's justification doesn't gel with me--because Jim Shooter's finger is so off the pulse I don't believe anything the man says.
You did say "Josh," dude. Twice.
I recently read Infinity Gauntlet through Marvel's DCU Comic thing...it's pretty much my favorite Marvel event EVER. I mean, it's not a good competition, since I find a lot of Marvel's events to be horseshit, but still!
I remember reading a little bit GL/GA back when I first got into comics--I don't remember it really wowing me, but it was still solid, old-school comics.
Not a huge fan of the Ame-Comi line, but the actual comics that they started with it were pretty good.
I know that Action Comics back-up sounds bad, but the Solly Finch back-ups have been AMAZING so far, almost as good as the regular 20-page installments, so it probably isn't going to be as awful as you think it will.
On that note, "Unkillable Thunder Christ" is an AMAZING name for a band.
Speaking of DC and SyFy, they were trying to develop a Booster Gold series.
Good episode.
