A Theory Regarding the Next Green Lantern War (possible spoilers)

Just noticed something.

Hal= His ring isn't sanctioned by the Guardians. It's created by Sinestro and is unaffected by Guardian control

Kyle= Feedback explosion in issue 1 of New Guardians makes Kyle's ring untouchable to Guardians.

John= Able to fill his dead ring with his own willpower, even if only for a short burst, he makes it count. Possibly also able to overcome Guardian control if they decide to kill the rings power?

Guy= Up a creak without a paddle? Anybody remember what he did with the Green Power Gauntlet? That could come in handy. Or if he finds a Guardian ring while in his new seat of power (remember those)

The ring created by Sinestro is created by Sinestro THROUGH a ring created by the Guardians. By shorting out Sinestros ring, they short out Hals.

Just pointing out what you would point out to me.

But the notion of John being able to funnel his own willpower through his ring...thats something we've been itching for forever and, mark my words, it WILL play a HUGE part in the coming storyline.

Do we know WHOSE ring Sinestro got?

...so is John really going to die in GLC? It better not be Guy who dies!

Not necessarily. Look at the pieces:

-The Guardians don't know why Sinestro got the ring, they also couldn't get it off him. So right there, something is up.

-The ring works on willpower. Enough willpower, you make whatever you want. Sinestro has a lot of willpower.

-When Kyle was Ion, filled with ALL the energy, he made some modifications to his ring before giving up all that power. Like always having a reserve. So we know modifications CAN be made.

Sinestro has a special ring, and he uses it to make a ring for Hal. There is absolutely the chance it's a very special ring as well. Remember, Sinestro needs Hal. Why wouldn't he give him an extra special ring if he knows he can never use it to harm him? It would only serve Sinestro later when he needs Hal to be at his best.

It's probably going to be Carol. look at how they started this series off. Hal starts making amends with Carol. He's focusing on creating a life on Earth with her. He remembers all the feelings he's had for her and now they are even stronger. They are playing the relationship up here, big time. And when do they do that? Right before they tear it apart, to make the impact bigger. Carol is going to be killed very soon, probably by the Guardians. THAT will be enough to make Hal go rogue. And BTW, Carol is a "Lantern of sector 2814"

And while I'm at it, here's another theory. Carol will get the white ring. Or Hal or Sinestro will and they'll bring Carol back to life. But I like the Carol as White lantern better, I think that may pave the way for Hal and Carol to have a kid.

LOL Hal can't hold an apartment down, more or less take care of a kid!
