As many of you know I've been without a job for awhile. It's been a recurring issue for me to gain jobs then lose them. There are many reasons for this which I will not go into, but suffice it to say I am now employed and in a job where, for the first time in my life, I'm genuinely excited about this opportunity.

For those of you who are curious, I'm now part of the very first wave of infotainment customer support for General Motors. The infotainment systems are essentially tablets mounted in the consoles of the vehicles going forward. So the myLink, intellilink and CUE systems from General Motors are the systems I will help customers troubleshoot when they call in. In addition to that, part of my job is surfing the internet for resources, complaints, compliments and reviews on those products and document those internet findings for future customer service use.

The Cadillac CUE (stands for Cadillac User Experience) is currently the most advanced of the infotainment systems and will be coming out this summer debuting, I believe, on the all new Cadillac XTS (which I've been privileged to play extensively with and is worth every penny should you have them). I encourage you to check out the following short video:

THAT system is basically what my job focus is on.

So there you have it, that's why I've been gone. I'm in extensive training for my new infotainment customer support position. It's a brand new position within the company and, as such, there are LOTS of opportunities for upward growth. I'll be back on the show when I can.

Also, if you happen to own any of the new models of GM vehicles (Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac or GMC) and have experience with these new systems, good or bad, let me know. Seriously, part of my job IS to talk about them.

Hope to talk with you all soon, albeit one sided...but still...
