I just finished reading all 44 issues of the Guy Gardner and Warrior series from the 90's and overall the series was excellent. This is a very underrated series IMHO and is a must-read for all Green Lantern fans

Here are a few of my favourite issues in case any of you would like to try some of them. Warning: you might get hooked and need to find the whole series like I did.

Guy Gardner Reborn - Gerard Jones & Joe Staton – An excellent three-issue series about Guy trying to find his own way (with the help of Lobo) after Hal Jordan became Green Lantern of Earth again.

Guy Gardner "Yesterday’s Sins" issues #11-14 – Chuck Dixon & Joe Staton - Shows the struggles Gardner faces as a child in an abusive household in the Baltimore inner city.

Warrior #22 & #23 – Beau Smith & Mitch Byrd – Guy and his friends quest deep into the jungle to search for a source of super-powers.

Warrior #29 – Beau Smith & Phil Jimenez – Guy hosts a party at this Warrior Bar.

Warrior #41 – Beau Smith, Marc Campos & Mike Parobeck – A real-life adventure mirrors the plot of a proposed Guy television show.

If any of you have read these let me know what you think!

Thanks for that...If I ever have the time I may get around to collecting them...

But I wouldn't begrudge you if you reviewed some issues on a podcast...

I have a few of issues of this series, but I haven't read them. I have been thinking a lot lately about getting the rest of the series and reading them. Thanks for these suggestions.

Back when the issues were coming out, I actually started with Warrior. Issue 0. It was great, a fun concept for Guy's character. I know it had been done in X-Men, and probably other books, but I still really enjoyed it. I was disappointed when it got cancelled, and even more so when they kinda sorta killed him in Our Worlds at War, and then he fell off the map for the most part till Rebirth.

I've been able to pick up the whole series since then, and I've read some of it, but there's still a lot of the yellow ring stuff I've never read.
