I'm sitting here watching the news and I found out that Christian Bale has visited or plans to visit the victims of the Aurora shooting. This is more than the rest of the movie crew has done. Sure Chris Nolan sent out a press release, but I would like to applaud Mr. Bale.

I saw an article linking to the facebook page of one of the people recovering in the hospital, of him and Bale at his hospital bed. The guy did good.

Its kinda funny that there were only two options.

1. He didn't go and it would hurt his career and everyone would be saying he is an ass.
or
2. He went and it helped his image a lot and everyone likes him now.

No middle ground, of the two he would have just been stupid not to go and for WB, his agent, etc. to push him in no matter his opinion.

I still think its great that he went but just going doesn't really change my opinion of him much. Now if he was paying for thier medical bills and things like that (or maybe heading up a charity for them, or anything of the sort) I would be calling the guy a saint.

Also it isn't really up to the crew to go. Bale is the face of the batman series, and while it would be great if the other actors went, it is really all about him.

I don't want to sound negative but this is my opinion

Yeah, no, the guy doesn't walk on water, and this doesn't erase anything "questionable" he did before. It's just cool that he went at all. I basically thought that it would just be one of those things that the internet thought would be cool to see happen but would just kind of fade away as an idea and never happen. And then it happened! Hey cool, Bruce Wayne went to visit some people! It's like meeting a celeb at a con, only they come to your house instead. And you get shot first.

To me, the thing is that Chris Nolan sent out a press release, but bale went and actually interacted with the victims. He could've just said, "Everything Chris said is how we all feel."

But, no, the man isn't perfect.

Actions speak louder than words and the fact that Bale took time out to go visit shows much respect.
