DC Collectibles have revealed a 3.75" Green Lantern 2-pack Comicon exclusive...and it's Kyle and Kilowog! The detail on these figures look great and it looks like they have good articulation too. There is also a video clip with Geoff Johns where he reveals these figures...and take note of the Oa Play Set!!!!

I normally don't watch X-Play but I watched today just for the Johns interview. It was awesome.

Very happy I don't collect 3.75" figures, because the look of that Kilowog is so great, I'd have to pay what is sure to be a mammoth mark-up on the after-market for it.

I'll console myself with my bubblegum pink DC Direct Kilowog, and his DC Universe Classics Build-A-Figure big brother.

Hmm... great... now I kinda want that 3.75" figure as the baby brother...

I really like the 3.75" scale, and these figures look great. If they make these available at nycc, I will figure a way to get them. Space is a bigger and bigger issue as I get older, so the smaller scale is great as long as they have great likenesses. I have a few Marvel Universe figures and I love them. If these are reasonably available, I'll collect these too. Oh, and if any listeners are going to sdcc and want to help me out, it would be appreciated Smile

I'm not at SDCC, but I just received this picture from a friend who was going to pick up the set for me:

Basically, you have you win a raffle for the opportunity to buy these figures. I believe this is a first for Graphitti & DCC, I got White Lantern figures from another friend at NYCC last year & he had no such restrictions. Anyway, not getting this set now, and I'm probably not going to bother asking about future sets.

I'm pretty sure they used a raffle system for the rainbow Hals. And just because there is a raffle doesn't mean they are impossible to get, they are just making it more difficult.

Wound up getting a set after all (Graphitti abandoned the raffle system, haha) and... they're okay figures. I'm not wild about the proportions, which are a bit more cartoon-like that I'd prefer, and they're smaller than Marvel Universe figures.

On the plus side, they do have all the paint quality you'd expect from a DC Direct 6" figure, and the joints all seem very stable, nothing flops around like so many Marvel Universe figures do. I'm a little wary of some of the joints being made of of clear plastic (especially the bar that connects the hips) but DCD's done that before with the larger figures & I haven't had a problem yet.

I'm splitting the set I got with a friend who wanted the Kyle figure, so I'm glad I was able to get Kilowog. I'm not really sure if I'll try to continue the line, since I really prefer the more "realistic" proportions of the 6" figures. But the figures do look really nice otherwise, and you can actually POSE them.

Semi-related, looks like DC's "no late issues" policy still doesn't apply to the DC Collectibles side of the business. Went to 3 comic stores today looking for the new Justice League Hal Jordan figure (which still says July 18th on DCC's site) only to be told (the the 3rd store) the figure was delayed. Yay.
